We stayed in a condo apartment as close to the heart of Yosemite as we could get without sleeping in a tent city It was strange to be at the beach one day, and just drive into the snow (albeit just a little bit) at Yosemite.
We took the kids to a little snow area where majority of the snow had melted.
but it was just enough to let them experice snow
and throw some snowballs at uncle eric
and to remind me how much of a snowsnob i've become living in sunshine!
After the snow adventure, we decided to explore the Giant Sequoias. We started the 6 mile hike late afternoon, hoping to get back before the sunset.
eric was nice enough to give me a break from kid-carrying.
stacy - being a tree hugger.
The Grizzly Giant is estimated to be 1800 years old
and just for fun...!
we made it back to the car, just in time as the sun went down.
