Colton officially started preschool this month, with a new spiderman lunchbox in tow. He goes tues and thurs from 8am-12pm. Shaun brings him to school in the morning, so they get their dude time chatting on the ride. Then Grady and I pick him up (after our fun mornings together). He's met a few kids, they all seem to know his name when we drop off/pick up. He told me yesterday that he and his friend Alex were chasing the girls. They were screaming and laughing. He said they they did it for exercise...uh, right.
We pack his lunch together the night before school, and i'm not sure why but i've really been enjoying "packing his lunch". yep, i even put a napkin in there with a little note. it feels so mom-ish. i guess i remember my mom packing my lunch right through my high school years.
They do all sorts of activities, but i'm especially looking forward to fine tuning some social skills (like you can't pee outside at school). he has an assigned "show & tell" day (thursdays), where he has to bring something pertaining to the color or shape of the month. this month is yellow & circle. the first week he brought a red sox baseball (circle), and the second week he brought a giant cheese head hat (yellow).
