potty training 9/21

well, Grady is deep in our 2nd attempt at potty training.  our first attempt last month went ok..but we just had too much going on to fully commit.  this month however....i'm so proud to announce we have success!!

it's been two long and lonely weeks staying home...i can't tell you how much time we've spent just sitting in the bathroom (thank goodness for a few good books).   but it's been so rewarding to watch grady yell "pee pee", run to the bathroom, then light up after he goes (see below).  we're still working on poo...or as grady calls it "yucky", he's kinda scared of it.  

our first couple days he was "batting" about 50%...but on day 4, he was pretty near perfect!  an now, two weeks into it,  we're able to leave the house and he'll go in a public bathroom!  so weird to be this thrilled about pee/poop...

these pix are from just moments ago (945am on 10/1) - yes, the potty seat goes everywhere with us, even outside.

oh, you're wondering about the gloves...i swear he was outside doing yard work.
