On Friday night we invited some of Colton & Grady's friend's over to experience the Polar Express movie! the kids all showed up in their PJs, we served hot coco and popcorn, and they all got cozy in pillows and blankets on the floor. there were several intermissions in our version of the movie...potty breaks, coco breaks...but it was just precious.
two days later...the boys actually got to go on the Polar Express! a local winery does a charity fundraiser for the children's network and decorates their resident locomotive into the Polar Express. We met our good friend's out there, and once again, all the kids showed up in their PJs.
The conductor punched the kids tickets,
they did a reading of the Polar Express, and colton volunteered to ring santa's bell.
Then we headed to the north pole to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Colton has begun to warm up, and will sit on Santa's lap.
Grady just shakes his head in fear. Mrs. Claus was enticing with a stuffed penquin and bell, but still, he'd only go as far as his hand would reach.
We had coco and some sweets, oh, and since we were at a winery...a glass of wine! As it got dark, all the kids starting rolling down the hill next to the lit up train. On the ride home, grady was a bit confused, and kept asking why our train didn't "go". i guess he was waiting for the train to actually move ;)
