Pops is here! Nov 22-Dec2 part 1

We had a such a nice visit with pops, the kids were so sad to him go. While we tried to stick to a relaxing week - you know that just doesn't happen in this house!  Shaun was fortunate enough to have almost the entire time off and the kids totally soaked in the daddy time too.

Wayne flew in on a monday evening, so that night we just acclimated to having company.  the kids took to him right away and they spent the evening wrestling and playing tackle football.  The next morning, Colton had preschool so Shaun and Wayne took Grady to gymnastics.  In the afternoon, they all went to the library to get a new stash of books. i won't lie...i had a few hours to myself :)


We didn't do a whole lot on wednesday, i think we just got some last minute groceries and played at the playground.  yup, i read a book while wayne entertained the kids.  We came home and rested for a while, then took off again to a Cal Poly basketball game.

Thursday was thanksgiving.  Shaun hosted his annual football game to work up a good appetite.  We came back to the house, prepped the rest of the food and had a few friends & kids join us for dinner.  Of course, we all ate much more than necessary.



Friday and Saturday are a bit of a waste, 4 of us took turns with the 24-hour flu bug and spent the evenings barfing our guts out.  it was pathetic.

 

While Colton and I were sick Grady had a blast playing with pops!  I wish you could hear his gut busting laugh!!
