Visit with Gramma and Grampie Oct 18-20

We had a super short visit with Gramma and Grampie; they flew in on a Friday afternoon and were gone on Sunday night.  It was short, but we're glad that we were a piece of their 3 state vacation (Oregon, Hawaii, California).

Friday
Gramma and Grampie arrived just before it was time to pick up Colton from school, so we all loaded up and headed to San Benito to surprise him.  The bell rang, he came out the door, and gramma tried to give him a giant hug only to be pushed aside from a little girl who was ready to tackle hug colton!  Gramma got her hug...but she had to wait in line.  Colton gave us a tour of his classroom including his desk and his wall art.
After school we swung over to the park to play and kick the soccer ball around.
In the evening, we had dinner and then sat by the fire pit for a while.

Saturday
We headed down to Avila Barn for some apple picking.  It turned out apple upick season was over, so instead we did a tractor ride, went through the giant hay maze, fed all the farm animals and ate the most delicious roasted corn on the cob.  Then we headed over to another apple tree farm and picked several pounds of apples so we could make apple crisp for dessert.
Afterwards, Gramma took the kids shopping for birthday gifts while Grampie and Shaun went out to watch the baseball game at a burger joint.

Sunday
We got together with 8 (yes EIGHT) other families to play a giant soccer game.  We mixed up parents and kids and had a blast kicking the ball around.
